What your browser saves

RareGuess uses local storage for current daily and practice rounds, your submitted answers and scores, completed daily records, and streaks. These records belong to this browser and do not sync across devices. Clear this site’s browser data to remove them.

If local storage is blocked or unavailable, the game can still run for your current visit. We show a warning because progress and streaks cannot be saved.

What reaches the server

To check an answer, your browser sends the round identifier, question identifier, and the answer you type to the game server. We do not persist players’ raw answers in a backend database. The server checks the reviewed answer list and returns the result. Network infrastructure may process ordinary request information to deliver the site.

Feedback you choose to send

Answer suggestions and other feedback are sent only when you choose to email us. An email can include your address and anything you put in its message. We use it to read and respond to your request or review a suggested answer; please leave out sensitive information.

A small, quiet game

RareGuess has no accounts, advertising trackers, or analytics identifiers. Copying or sharing a result is your choice. Our share text leaves out the questions and answers.
